The VRS can be installed with the Revolver.

I'm trying to find the most cost efficient way of mounting a storage unit only twice, three times a year. I don't need anything fancy, nor anything expandable.

At the same time, I want to be able to use the bed. If not much time involved, I have no issues unmounting cross bars when needed.

Ideally, it would be nice to have cross bars such that I can roll the cover back. That's a nice to have, but not needed if expensive.

    What options do I have?

    Thanks!

This would be the best "bang for the buck" option: https://www.kbvoodoo.com/all-prox-crossbars/prox-tundra-crossbars-2022-and-up

The ability to easily take the rack on and off was a deciding factor for me choosing KB Voodoo racks. The easier something is to do the more likely we will do it.

Who in Houston is looking for a bed rack? We are entering the market. Looking for some local guys for local pickup before we ship them.

We are trying to make these as module and adaptable as possible with alternate mounting brackets.

3/16 Aluminum. Adjustable in height from 12-22”. We have load tested it to 1300 pounds static. (your bed rails won’t support this so don’t try)

It's really difficult to put an actual number on that. The answer is subjective based on how the load is distributed and how the truck is used.

What I can tell you, is that all truck bed sides are weak, and they are getting weaker, especially with more and more use of aluminum bodies and composite beds. All plastic bed rail caps are also weak, and racks with 4 and 6 point of attachment will deform them.

That said, all racks that we release moving forward are going to incorporate some sort of "base rail" to uniformly distribute the load.

Our VRS has that system already, as does our new unreleased CXR system.

Those built-in case holders is :nuclear:

I could put Rotopax on the outside and double up storage with those cases. Wow! Love your innovation in the rack market. For me trucks are about workflow and can you get to what you need
