Just came across this image today. This 3rd gen would look awesome in 2-door.

Yep, that is badass. Sadly, it will never come to fruition.

Get a double and pay for the Shaq conversation like the Lucid. You’ll be almost there.

    Imaginationland is appropriate.

Imagine a truck that has no useful truck functionality, but looks cool in mall parking lot. Why can't Toyota see the value in that?

Was seriously considering getting one of these used at one time and adding the supercharger..
    Never happened though. IMG_8902.jpg

    Agree to a point.
    Too low. No tire clearance.
Make it not quite so extreme and it would still work.
Plenty of lowered 2WD old school sport trucks out there that can still haul and tow. I've owned a couple.

LOL. That truck wouldn’t get from my house to my barn without dragging and tearing something up. Totally worthless for my purposes.

I would love to have my SR5 double cab 4x4 with TRD Off Road package and 6.5 foot bed, transformed, so as to remove the rear seat and doors and give me a regular cab, with eight foot bed, and thus a proper pickup truck. :)Unfortunately, the rest of the world wants school buses, so that's what the manufacturer provides.

GMC Syclone, Ford Lightning (old one), Chevy 454SS. All sold very well and still desirable today. If Toyota built the pictured truck, it would sell out, with huge dealer markups, and have a waiting list.

Back when you could get a RCSB with the 5.7 and 4wd, a local street racer bought one and ran a 400 shot through it. Nobody ever suspected anything and he dominated the scene 15 plus years ago.

He wound up blowing the motor out the engine bay though. Lol.

LOL. You are not all people. Not all people have your use case or purposes.
It has no useful truck functionality...for YOU.
Again, the truck pictured would not be nearly as radical if it was to be mass produced.

I had a lowered and built Dodge Dakota R/T single cab with the 5.9L back in 99-2000. That was a fun little truck for its time. Miss it.

I'd buy one of these Toyotas in a heartbeat to play with on weekends.

If Toyota built something even remotely similar to that, guys would be modding the V35 like crazy for more power. They'd no doubt find the limits.:nuclear:

Dreaming... engine swap to a supercharged, built 5.7 and a manual swap.
    That would be a ride.

Lol I was looking out the window the other day at my truck while waiting for coffee to perk, and thought it would look cool set up like a modern Dodge "little red wagon" with the chrome stacks.

All our farm trucks were regular cab 2 wheel drives with 8ft beds. They probably spent more time off road than most of the 4wd's lol. Cabs all had that feed store/barnyard/ grease gun smell mixed with the slight aroma of gas. I do rather prefer the new car smell now though. Ah the memories!

Yea, I forgot the Dakota R/T, the "Super Bee" trucks, and the one with the viper engine, forget what it was called.

RCSB Silverado are a dime a dozen and have an LS. Toyota probably knows they wouldn't be very competitive with a more expensive, less moddable (yes, it's a word now) and less reliable truck.

Around here they are "trokiando" and these guys are savages.

Lol. If you can live with a RCSB, you can live with a sportscar. Its orangejuice flavored toothpaste.
