Bronze rims definitely for the win. Black rims are played out and basic.

Look around fellas, bronze is the new black. I don’t hate it, I’m on the same train.

Your not wrong. I do see a lot more bronze than I ever did.

i still dont like black rims. Black rims are sport pkg upgrades for minivans. :puke:

I hope so. I got a set of deflectors for the vents under the seats off etsy to help the passenger area out, they didn't fit so I'll have to modify them. I'm hoping to improve the kid's heating and cooling between the two.

Replaced the Serpentine belt, pulley, and tensioner with the new kit from RockAuto. Great quality parts and the fit was perfect. The tensioner is pinned to spring back once you easily guid ethe belt in place.

Apologies for not getting back to you sooner! Unfortunately the notifications on this forum never seem to get to me on time lol

If your not looking for crazy performance, I'd highly recommend the kenwood excelon KFC-xp6902c component speakers.

Comes with two super nice 6x9 speakers, speaker brackets that bolt right in to the weird toyota bolt pattern in the door, as well as two 2.5" full range speakers for the dash that also bolt right in, all for the price of $230.

    https://www.crutchfield.com/p_113XP6902C/Kenwood-Excelon-KFC-XP6902C.html?tp=105

Those 6x9s are somewhat power hungry so you'll want to look at adding an aftermarket amplifier, but once they get the power they want they output tons of midbass (will get to this later)

Since you have a 2021, it still has a factory amplifier even though it's the non-jbl version so you will have to bypass it in order to add your own amplifier. With the non-JBL tundras, the radio powers the 3 dash speakers (left, right, and center. the center is not a true center channel speaker, rather a dual voice coil speaker receiving inputs from both left and right speakers.) The amplifier is there solely to power the front and rear door speakers.

If it were my truck and I was trying to keep it "budget friendly" I would be looking at an all-in-one amplifier. I wouldn't even consider doing anything crazy to the rear, and would solely focus all of my attention (and money) on the front speakers only. If you REALLY want to replace the rear speakers, kenwood sells some relatively cheap coaxial speakers that bolt right into place with the correct adapters (must unplug the factory tweeter from the door panel)

    https://www.crutchfield.com/p_113KFCX183/Kenwood-Excelon-KFC-X183C.html?tp=105

Instead of letting my amplifier power both front and rear speakers with a passive crossover between the front midbass and fullrange, I would instead run two of my ampilifer channels to the front midbass and the other two channels to my front full range dash speakers for a "full active" system. This will not only get me the most output, but also more detail in the music as well as fine tune control between midrange and tweeter.

In order to do just that, I would have to run new wires from my amplifier to my new dash speakers (which is very straight forward and simple to do since you'll already be running RCA's to my new radio anyway)

I also understand you said you don't want a subwoofer, but I'd highly recommend adding one even if it's nothing exceptional like any of the truck style kicker boxes. You don't realize what your missing out on in music until you get your first subwoofer, and there is plenty of room behind the back seat of the crewmax's to fit them (just make sure you get speaker grilles, otherwise they will slap the back of the seat causing damage to the speakers)

My "budget" choice. Kicker also sells a single 10" box that is cheaper with less power handling
    https://www.crutchfield.com/p_20648TT122/Kicker-48TCWRT122.html?tp=112
    [IMG]

With all the things in mind I stated above, that would mean I'd start looking into 5 channel amplifiers. The first amplifier that came to mind would be the Kenwood XR901-5 ($580) just to get the full kenwood excelon setup. It outputs 60 watts for the 4 channel side of things, and 400-600 watts for my subwoofer(s).

    https://www.crutchfield.com/p_113XR9015/Kenwood-Excelon-XR901-5.html?tp=115

If 400-600 watts is too much power and I want to save some money, then I'd step down to the Kenwood X803-5 ($400) which is 50 watts for the 4 channels and 300-500 for the subwoofer(s).

    https://www.crutchfield.com/p_113X8035/Kenwood-Excelon-X803-5.html?tp=115

Now if I wanted the absolute best sound possible with the ability to control and tune every speaker separately (I do :)), then I'd be looking for a 5 channel with built in dsp. The audiocontrol D-5.1300 ($900) would be my first choice as it's got great power output with 100 watts per channel for my kenwood midbass and full range, 300-500 watts for my subwoofer(s), as well as a built in dsp with very intuitive software to setup and adjust (It was my first every dsp amplifier that I installed) that lets me fine tune everything independently.

    https://www.crutchfield.com/p_161D51300/AudioControl-D-5-1300.html?tp=115

Hoping this information helps give you an idea on what to look for/expect.

This is mostly the things that I would have focused on and/or looked at first, you can obviously pick things that you think might better fit your needs instead ;)

est upgrades for towing were firestone airbags and the TRD swaybar. I have Dobinsons leafs now but before they were just stock. With the airbags and TRD sway i didnt use WDH or sway control. Towed the camper and dump trailer like a dream.

How much room is there for our large trucks? Pinstripe tight? Or ample space? I'm not terribly far from there and itching to get out a bit.

The road is surprisingly clear especially after the hurricane. There are a few spots that will pinstripe but nothing major. Im not one to pinstripe my vehicle and i was happy with the minimal new beauty marks. Definitely worth the drive. Theres a sweet flat open camping spot with firepit. from the parking lot its a solid hour down there. 25% grades and tight switch backs.

Its nothing insane. but definitely 4low and 1st gear stuff. just super steep in places. no mud pits or anything. You enter it in Gorgeous State Park off of white water road. The gate is open all year. Just be warned when you get into the bottom there is zero cell service on verizon or At&T

Upon entry to the road there are 3 substantial gravel roller/humps to test ground clearance. if you make it over those without scrubbing youre good to go!

Just watched parts of an F150 driving through there and it appears I will not be able to make that trip in my truck.. which seems odd with it being a MTB trail area... hrm... i will keep looking, those pictures you posted are awesome.

So many options with bags, do you have a recommendation? I don't really think I'd need the onboard compressor

Edit: this is what I'm looking at

I wonder if the 3 of us can coordinate a trip.

I've been considering the Georgia Traverse too.

I backpack in/near Gorges on the FHT, so I'm somewhat familiar with the area. Plenty of camping gear as well.

That would be awesome. Full disclosure, I am a ways out from something like that. With the baby now, I like to go to places where the truck is safe (I need to drive it home) and I can manage the little one. So we try to go to easy hikes and waterfalls when we travel. I am going to GA/SC next month so I am seeing how far this place is from where I will be. I am a sucker for waterfalls.
