3rd Gen Tundra AC control bar not lighting up

This may be a dumb question however, I can’t seem to find how to light up the climate control bar during the day.

At night it perfectly lights up and I can see which toggle switch is for what, however during the day it is just so dark that I can’t see them at first glance.

Anyone know how to turn them on?

 

I struggle with that as well, and I refuse to take my eyes off the road long enough to try and figure which one I need. Seems like turning the instrument cluster lights up would (should) activate them, but haven't been successful yet.

 

It doesn’t light up. Previous generation didn’t light up either.

 

It only lights up when you get AT 33 inch tires or bigger

 

Hey Dude I had the same trouble on my 2022 tundra limited and I just moved the light switch forward to the light icon that switches the lights on and you have it. When you shut down the engine it will prompt you to turn off lights. Hope that works for you.

 

Yep! Just run your parking lights during the day...

 

This is definitely one of my biggest issues with this truck. If I'm wearing my sunglasses I can't absolutely not see any of the controls. I always end up having to take my sunglasses off to see the controls. I didn't think the toggle switches for the HVAC would bother me but after two years now, I wish toyota would have put in rotary nobs.
