I'm sure they make you loopy and weird, but they do serve an important function of 'relaxing' your body and muscles, particularly around and supportive of the injury site. This helps prevent tightening of the muscles in those areas which will reduce the amount of pain killers necessary to be comfortable and hopefully prevent you from developing secondary hitches in your giddy up from the tightening of the muscles...

I may be getting petty in my old age, but it really irks me when someone asks a question here, gets said question answered by some, and then never bothers to reply. And to add insult to injury, starts another thread right after like his fist thread never even happened.:)

I find this more often than not.
They ask a question but don't like the honest and factual responses.
Then they bolt and/or start another thread rewording the same question..:eek2:

I've been watching some of Brandon Herrera's "assassination" videos. Entertaining stuff, and the dark humor has been on point.

I'm opposite here. I will be hard pressed to ever take pain meds. But muscle relaxers do help me, when shit gets wound up tight. Personally, it's the only pharma that helps me.

Reminds me of when I had to take percocet after having shoulder surgery for a torn rotator cuff and labrum.

I remember one of the first poops I had after taking the percocet for a couple of days. I can only describe it as trying to crap out a jagged piece of granite...was a harrowing experience and I always tell folks who are on any sort of pain meds or muscle relaxers, to be sure to take a stool softener...

Perhaps I should try taking the MR by itself..

    You are so very correct.
The opioids were a must after surgery..
I'd rather have a few beers..

    Truth.
I take these when I have to take the hydrocodone.

Last few weeks my almost 16yo daughter and I have been driving over mtn passes getting her some good experience. I'm starting to see her making better decisions and having more awareness. Today's drive was loaded with too many aggressive drivers trying to get back to the city and she handled it wonderfully. So proud of her growth right now.

    Biased but couldn't agree more.

Today we drove up hwy 6 east over Loveland pass then down to 70 and back home on 70 westbound. Lots of front rangers trying to get home. 70 east bound was at a crawl already when we got to 70 around 12:45pm.

Whatever this forum told me to do
    This weekend....I learned something.

Our neighbor, that has the barking belgian malinois, has a service that comes by and

    wait for it....

pick's up dog poo in their yard.

    1. who has the Gaul to hire that out? (the backyard CONNECTS to the lake)
    2. imagine having that job
    3. what would you name it if it was your company?
    4. what job title would you assign yourself?

that level of lazy waste(pardon the pun) is like buying Starbucks coffee.

This is quite common actually. My landlord in Anchorage who had 3 dogs, hired a woman who had a dog poop business and snow plowing business. Drove a new F-350. She made a small fortune. Do you want to pick up dog poop in your backyard as soon as you get home from work and it's -30 outside?

    I hear you.

    I guess I'm a bit sheltered.

That process was always part of life for me*.

hiring it out seems oddly lazy/wasteful to me.

then again...I dread outsourcing core competencies of any type.

and yes...if one has a fecal route set up....I bet one could earn a shitload of money.
    Kudos to those entrepreneurial go-getters.

*or...I could be harboring some deep resentment that my parents made it part of my life.

I had to learn about this business a few years ago. I hired out some yard work when we first moved into this house, to get the back garden ready for my wife to enjoy. The guy I hired stiffed me on about half the work (and still wanted to get paid the remainder of our agreed price). I looked him up and as it turned out he was more than slightly a criminal. He had a poo-picker-upper business as well as the yard-work business. Seems a lot of former (and some current) felons and otherwise unhirables do pooperscooper-ing. It's big business and they can get paid way more than they could otherwise. As long as someone's willing to pay, and they're not engaging in it to cheat or steal, I'm all for it.

We had a doggie door downstairs that led to the backyard. The dogs could come and go as needed during the day. My landlord was quite busy. Head supervisor at Spenards Building Supply, worked part time at Celestial Meads, and was a Wedding planner. Busy gal. Her dogs were all battered rescue dogs. Well taken care of. Her pooper pick er upper was not a felon.

Agreed, but really no different that eating out every night; or having someone door dash all your meals; laundry service; cleaning your home; washing your truck; doing your own oil change.... oh wait, here's a few I know you'll enjoy :stirthepot:

Cleaning service for you weapons after range time... I know a bunch of indoor ranges will actually clean your guns for you after you shoot them on their range.

Let's see what else... dog walkers; tax prep; and I'm sure a bunch more!!!!
