JBL equipped trucks will have the JBL lettering on the speaker grills and say JBL at the top of the head unit.

I believe that is correct. A buddy of mine has a '20 SR5 and he has what looks like an amp under his passenger seat.

I know very little to nothing about good audio, but my installer at Arizona Sound says that a HU and an amp upgrade would solve all my problems and that these are actually decent speakers. Then they showed me how it cuts down bass as volume increases.

Doing a little OTT adjustment (STD+ to STD) as well as the MAF adjustments for the Stillen intake.

Then later today doing the other rear doors sound deadening.

So I got those tie downs from Amazon today that were posted before. When I got them I was sorta surprised at how small they were, the photos make them look bigger and I wasn't reading the dimensions on the page. Happy with them once installed though. I do not think I will use the smaller versions for my corner bolts, I have hooks from the factory and they will be just as good, I think I will try to get them on my tractor somewhere. Edit: I might even order another set and totally get rid of the OEM ones, but I do like how they are adjustable. I'll play it by ear this summer.

Photos for size reference, I tried to hide the trash all in the truck bed, but its trash day folks:notsure:

Main goal was accomplished, my thule straps metal side FITS through it, that's the biggest pain in the ass on the OEM ones, they are HUGE but the actual hole is tiny and worthless.

Full size, side bar size example-----
    sizecompare.jpg

Smaller ones for the corners I don't think I will use----

I didnt do anything to my Tundra today but customized my $30 Nike hat with a TRD patch. They had to remove the nike check mark to install the patch $20 service fee but came out nice.

Charles can you please send a link to those mud flaps or the material he used to make them? They look sharp, love tread/diamond/floor plate with the Inland pattern, like I have on my WKOR sliders. Thinking about getting a DB HD cover, and those flaps would also look good with it IMO.

Not on the Tundra but the kids 4Runner. Replaced the head unit in his 2016 with one from a 2023. Added the Anytime camera kit as well.

So I was told. Probably just upselling me stuff if were being real about it. I went in asking about speakers and was told in not so many words that spending a lot more money would solve all my problems (boy ain't that the truth)

The factory speakers are damn near made out of paper.

Yes, I will NOT argue that at all. I think what his audio shop really said was "Your budget is $1500 dollars, you can spend that on speakers and get no real improvement. The head unit is absolute dog shit and isn't even pushing those shitty paper speakers to their limits, you need a head unit and amp to wake them up, and then see if you want to spend more money on speakers, but you will notice a large improvement just with a head unit and amp."

    You both are right:rofl:

edit: I'd argue that adding sound deadening is the next step before speakers too. Speakers are the last step in a good stereo system in a way. It's like painting and drywall, if you don't have a good foundation the paint will look like shit no matter how nice it is.

Haven't done anything to the truck yet but just placed an order with @dirtydeeds for their frozen rotors and Hawk pads on the front. This will be the 4th front brake set up I've had on the truck since I bought it, and I still haven't found one that I'm completely impressed with. I also ordered the LC blower motor from Fred Anderson with their sale. $118 is less than I could get it for from my brother, who lets me buy parts under his employee discount as a dealer tech.
