    Good evening,

Today the Tundra went to the Cantonal road authorities for its first check.
The technician found that when operating on high beams, the headlights are too powerful, as a consequence he failed the Tundra.

Is there a way to reduce the light output via CAN bus programming or some bloc unit adjustment setting so that high beams are dimmer?

Too much light? What are the parameters on their testing? Can you borrow some halogens and swap them back? What state are you in...I know they're talking about changes in LED headlights in some municipalities...

Can you point your headlights down on the aim controller for when you trailer so less blinding?

I'll trade you my factory LEDs for your Morimotos

I'm just a concerned fellow Tundra owner and really want you to pass

Nah, really though, what @littlebus01 said should do the trick:monocle: point them downward.

What? That doesn’t make sense. More than likely, they just need to be aimed properly.

But to answer your question. No. There is no way to reduce the actual output.

Indeed it is Switzerland and as Morimoto states: high beam output is 100% more low beam output is 30% more. So unfortunately it goes beyond the limits from their system. Thanks God the OEM ones were not discarded. This time it should pass the test ;-)

There are quite a few full size trucks on Swiss roads. Only in the mountains it is quite challenging to try to drive above 40km/h on these very twisty roads.
Another benefit of Switzerland is its proximity to Germany where some parts of the Autobahn network are without speed limit. There, the Tundra is very comfortable up to 160km/h
On the same sections of the Autobahn the Skoda superb V6 is very comfortable up to 240 km/h. So you can tell the difference between these vehicles.
