2021 TRD Pro, about 55K miles on it. About six months ago the phone started to cut in and out. This happens when plugged into USB or with Blue Tooth. Other apps like Teams on the phone work fine when connected to unit. I reset the software on the iPhone (iOS 18.3) and in the truck.

I really don't want to replace my head unit. Has anyone else run into this issue. I would think it could be the mic, but Teams works just fine.

I had this happen when my truck battery died after coming home from vacation. Jump started the truck, drove around and when someone called, I can hear them but they can’t hear me back. Changed my battery, left the truck off for 15 mins before installation. Working normal now. Talking to my buddy that works at Toyota, he said there is a DCM (data communication module)
The microphone, steering wheel controls, radio, navigation system, phone calls all routes through the DCM. He said there’s a TSB to update the DCM but you would have to drop off the truck.
    Hopefully this helps.

Press and hold the power button on the head unit to reset. Once that stops doing the trick you’ll probably need to grab a wireless Apple CarPlay module and plug that into the main USB port and see if that solves it?
(it has been working for me!)

Did you check to verify your software within your truck has the most up to date version??

Our '21s had a software update. Your head unit should show versions 1150 and 1162...
