We've had almost no snow on the valley floors this year it feels like. Finally had a little last night

 

Got more snow today turning into rain.

About a foot of snow in the last day and close to two feet in the last couple days makes for some fun. My lady got stuck in the drive way heading back to work today so I had to let her take the cruiser (so she wouldn’t be late). Then a couple little pulls with the tundra and away we went

Winter camping at Mt. Charleston (just outside of Vegas). Fletcher is open year-round, but it sits a little lower than some of the others @ 7000'...

 

I would like to try some snow camping someday. Do you do any preparation for cold weather camping? To keep pipes from freezing, Etc? Other than warmer clothes.

 

I didn't as temps weren't getting below about 20ish... The belly of that trailer was fully enclosed and wrapped/insulated, plus running the heater in the trailer kept everything good. I did wrap the exterior water connection from the camp site to the trailer w/one of the those slide on foam insulating sleeve thingys... Other than that we were good to go
