Truck acts like I am power braking it when I stop in drive

Hey guys, my 2014 Platinum tundra 4x4 is doing this thing where when I stop at a red light or anything of that sort, it will jump up and down about 500 rpms and if I let off the brake a hair that's when I get the power braking feeling like the truck is wanting to take off. If I keep the brake mashed hard just the rpms fluctuate and I don't feel the truck try to move. I feel like it could be a TC issue but I don't experience any slipping when shifting through gears or when getting on it a little. May have the slightest bit of a jerk or jump at the beginning when I first hit the gas off a red light but nothing crazy noticeable.

Lube your drivetrain- zerks in the driveshafts and the ujoints. And check condition of your carrier bearing. Either of those can feel funny if they are bad or dry, lurching when taking off or thumps, clunks when stopping. But they should not impact your engine idle swings.

Id also have the truck scanned for any error codes- for the rpm swings and surges.

I would check those first before digging into potential trans or xfercase issue and see where you land.

The "jerk" or "clunk" isn't really there so I don't think it is any of that. The main issue is the truck bouncing between 500-700rpm and trying to move forward if I don't have the brake pressed super hard. The rpms are still jumping even if I do have the brakes mashed hard though so I'm not thinking it's a brake issue or anything like that. Definitely seems like something trans or fuel/air/ECU related.

My first thoughts were torque converter but when I research I get multiple different issues with similar symptoms

Check your vacuum lines and air filter...perhaps a battery disconnect for 10min will help it relearn the "right" way...I'd start with a battery disconnect and report back!

Try cleaning your MAF and throttle body. Check over both plugs and ensure all good connections. As stated look over your vacuum lines...

Turn your a/c off and see if the problem goes away.

If it is on it could cause drag when it cycles but I've only heard a few instances.

If the refrigerant is low, it will cycle on and off relatively quickly.

Also forgot to mention it doesn't do it all the time mostly when I get off work in the evenings and first get in it. But I am on my way home in it now and it isn't doing it. I will try to disconnect the battery and take a look at the MAF as soon as this rain slacks up in Louisiana lol

I'll have to take a peak at this as well. I just bought the truck about 3 weeks ago and been busy at work so haven't looked much into it since buying it

I actually noticed this today on my own truck.

Stoplight, foot lightly on brake, slight change in RPM, truck felt like it wanted to push forward.

Only happened once. I'll keep an eye on it.

So I actually realized I said it revs up but it just happened today for the third time in the past 2 weeks and I had told y'all wrong, it is dropping like 200 rpms and having a stalling feeling kind of but as soon as the truck got to running temp it quit. And A/C being off doesn't stop it.

Crank position sensor is a possible cause. This is where the ecu gets rpm from. If it gets a false low reading, it adds more air and fuel. It eventually gets good data and reduces air and fuel. These are often intermittent problems

I definitely hope so, I don't believe it is anything transmission related anymore. I'm testing a theory right now. I'm pretty sure it only does it if I don't let the truck warm up to running temp before driving, because it mostly happens when I leave from work in a hurry to get home and crank her up and let her run for only a minute or 2 and take off and that's when it seems to do it the most. And as the truck warms up it smooths out.
