PPF is pretty nice, just remember, ceramic coating is for beauty and PPF is for protection so it won't be/look perfect no matter what.

I did the entire hood, upper fenders and door cups.

Thanks for the warm welcome! I’m really enjoying the truck.

I usually put a Retrax Pro MX on my trucks, but this time I am considering an ARE cap with a BedRug. I would like to have the watertight storage that I can’t get in the Retrax. I have never had a cap on any of my trucks before, so of anyone has any feedback on your experience with a cap, I would greatly appreciate it. I am looking hard at the ARE CX Revo and the ARE Z2. I’m still not 100% sold on getting a cap, it’s just something that I am strongly considering this time.

That said, your's is white so that's a huge advantage and you may not see any flaws. Mine is red, so ya, there's that lol.

    Welcome.

IMO caps are the way to go. Unfortunately in the past few years they've almost doubled in price. I generally remove it at least once a year for an extended period, and have a cheap tonneau cover so I can still keep stuff dry. I found mine on Market Place for $1200 and had it paint matched at a local body shop.

Not to hijack this thread but did you have to relocate your rear view camera on the 3rd brake light?

The cap looks nice on your truck. What brand do you have?

As of 2023, ARE and Leer had no way to relocate the rear view camera to their cap, and no plans to do so. It's why I didn't get a cap and went with a tonneau. You can jerry rig something but there were no plug-in options when I bought my 2023.

I always do a canopy with keyless entry and bed rug and would never run anything different, at least on a 6.5’+ bed. I had a snugtop rebel on my 2008 for 8.5 years and I just got a leer 100xr for my 2022. Got both used on Craigslist - this current canopy as spec’d would cost $5,500 new!! But you can get either brand with keyless for about $4k new. It turns the truck into a large SUV that’s great for projects, camping, hauling most things. Never stopped me from hauling 4x8 sheets, dump runs, etc. You just can’t haul a yard of gravel/mulch but whenever I need something like that I just have it delivered.
