FN FX PRO Wheels

Could be a couple of things:

7-10 years ago we offered two different wheels for the Tundra which were compatible with OEM Rock Warrior caps. We stopped making those wheels about 5-6 years ago. The caps that we made at that time were all FNW embossed center caps (not blanks, and none of them said TRD on them).

We also used to keep hundreds of Rock Warrior caps in stock before Toyota's cap manufacturer went out of business. I sold the last of the OEM Rock Warrior caps a little over a year ago, and, as we all know, Toyota no longer makes those caps.

You might have also seen customers who installed alloy-colored (silver) TRD caps into the FX Pro or other FN wheels. Those are not Rock Warrior caps though. The caps you might have seen are probably the "Tacoma TRD Baja" caps, which Toyota put back into production last year. The Baja cap diameter is basically a larger diameter version of the Rock Warrior cap.

TRD Baja cap (also known as FJ SE cap) part # is: PT280-35220-G0. This cap will not fit the OEM TRD Rock Warrior wheels, but it will fit most FN wheels, including the 18" FN FX Pro flow formed.

Beautiful wheels! I have had mine for about 5 years now and they are holding up amazingly well. Enjoy them.

 

Had the new wheels installed today, along with 33.7" 285/70R18 BFG KO3s. Decided to go with the new raise center caps. LOVE the whole setup! Dealing with some rubbing issues now, but hoping to get that sorted soon. Thanks, @FNWheels !

The rubbing with 285/70R18 tires should be a fairly easy fix. First, try using a heat gun to warm the plastic fender liner and then hold it back in place tool with an aluminum baseball bat, floor jack handle, or something similar. This should give you enough clearance to eliminate most, if not all, rubbing with the 285/70R18 tires.

If that doesn't work, then Coachbuilder bumper shims will definitely eliminate any rubbing with up to 295/70R18 (34.3" OD) tires:

@FNWheels I love my BFDs and these look great too, but I would hereby like to request you make an affordable duplicate of some Work Meisters for the tundra for me to add to the collection.

I'm interested, however there would have to be a gloss black option and a healthy discount through the group buy. Otherwise there is a competing product that I'm more likely to buy

 

Thank you for your feedback. It's unlikely that we will have a gloss black option, as we haven't had many requests for gloss black. Our high gloss dark gunmetal would be the closest color to gloss black.

The price listed in the Group Buy is a pretty deep discount for a well-made, brand name, flow formed, high purity 6061 T6 alloy wheel from a reputable company of 20 years. If you're considering EBAY / Alibaba type replica wheels with lower quality materials and methods of construction we won't be able to compete with those prices, since those wheels aren't really competitive with the quality of our wheels or with the service that we provide. There are cheaper sources for materials and means of manufacturing, lower cost shipping options, overhead reductions with regards to providing (or not providing) customer service, but that's not what my company (FN Wheels) is about.

This is not intended to be a slight or a sign of disrespect in anyway. I know that there's a market for cheaper wheels just as there is a market for wheels that cost twice as much as our wheels. I've just never been interested in sourcing the cheapest wheels possible and then selling them as a no-name brand on EBAY without providing our customers with a working phone number, physical address or any other means of contact. There are guys who do that, and when their products fail they can easily fold up, re-brand, and start over without anyone knowing who they are/were.

 

I think for the quality of the wheel, it’s hard to beat his prices already. The fact they are flow form, not just a cast wheel, and the metal alone are a huge value. These wheels can handle a lot and super quality paint. I look at wheels as the same as tires or brakes, you get what you pay for. Cheaper wheels seem to have issues with cracking or holding air/ balance issues.
