Sorry for another, should I ask them to fix this?

I know all vehicles have issues these days, and I love almost everything about my truck, but the door seal, the rattling tailgate sounding like it’s going to fall off, and now I found this when I was washing it today. Looks like maybe they overdrove a fastener on the inside? I assume I should ask for it to be fixed since it looks like it could pop through at any time, and then would rust/leak, but…wanted some confirmation if possible.

This is in the track on the roof right about the right rear passenger door. I’ll take a broader picture in a minute.

    Thanks fam!

You can ask, but I would not be surprised if they deny the warranty claim. They'll likely claim its damage caused after you took possession.

I'd definitely get it fixed, regardless. That would not be a good spot for rust to develop.

It’s been in for the wind noises/seal twice in this time too, so I’m praying they’ll get it fixed.

Bet it’d cost 1k for a body shop to fix it.

Like I said, that doesn't look like damage they'll likely fix under warranty. They'll claim it's a rock chip, or some other lame excuse.

    I hope I'm wrong.

Yours is a '24 and you are still experiencing the wind noise and tailgate rattle? I thought they fixed those for 2024?

Correct. The window / wind noise I seemed to be able to fix with felt tape to stop two parts of the door from touching.

I didn’t realize the tailgate was so bad until I rolled my window down on the first nice day. Sounded like it’s going to fall off. I thought it was actually the back window at first. It seems like it’s the cables and now the lower part anymore though, so going to try and O ring on both sides.

Any chance you can show where you put the felt tape for the wind noise? Mine seems to be getting worse. TIA.
