Buddy of mine uses his 4x4 pickups for going to the office so he bought himself a fancy Limited.

It rode nice and smooth - much nicer than say, an SR on 37s - but now his ass end his dragging on the ground because the suspension control ECU is toast. Toyota told him 8-12 weeks to get it replaced.

    Questions:
Is this a common problem? (no I didn’t search because I am afraid of seeing @hagrid ‘s posts)

Is there a way to eliminate or bypass the airbag system on the limiteds entirely either by filling them up permanently or replacing with coil springs? Has anyone done this?

Prepare for wisdom download, Yahoo McGurksky.

I've owned 2 vehicles with air ride; both of them were Lincoln MK VII. This is what I learned:

Do not buy vehicles with air ride unless they are over the road tractors/trailers. You will be unhappy.
