Not sure if there is a dedicated spot for this post so I figured I’d throw it up here. Recently bought a proper spare since I upgraded to 35s about 6 months ago. Picked up the tire at my local discount tire and lowered the current tire no issues. Put the new one on the steel wheel and went to crank it up and the entire lock just fell down to the asphalt. Never messed with it prior to this. Truck is just over 1 year old 7k miles. Now my spare is up for grabs for whoever checks if it has a lock or not.

Has anyone had this happen before? Easy fix?
