Hey all, I was under my truck checking something this morning and noticed this one side of my engine looked a little wet with something. I’m not a mechanic and not sure what part this is exactly but it looks a little oily/wet where there seems to be a seal of some kind. Also you will notice the little drop accumulation at the bottom in one of the pics… this exact same part of the motor on the opposite side seems completely dry. This angle is from under my drivers side wheel weld.. a few points… I had an oil change two days ago….. there is no dripping of anything on the concrete…. It’s a little damp outside and this side of my truck is close to the outer edge of my carport. It was very damp outside this morning and this part of my truck had visible wetness from the damp morning.. I’ve seen something like this before on my transmission with different weather conditions…. I wasn’t able to smell it because I can’t reach my hand up in there to get to it. Anything to be concerned about?

From what you have pictured, it looks like a valve cover gasket leaking. I would clean it up good and run it for a while to make sure it's that and not the dreaded camshaft tower leak. Good luck.

Yea I see it could be the valve cover gasket ..I did have an oil change two days ago and the oil fill is on this side so wondering if it might have been a messy oil change.. if it’s oil it looks really clean… I’m going to clean it off and keep an eye on it and see what happens
