I have a 2014 supercharged 5.7 Tundra. Just finished replacing the engine and thought all was good. Was accelerating the other day and the fan pulley bracket that holds the fan completely snapped on all 4 legs. Was wondering if anyone has had this problem or any recommendations.

It was a brand new bracket, serpentine belt, water pump. Engine has 40k miles.IMG_0217.jpg IMG_0216.jpg

What brand is the bracket? Is the bracket part of the SC belt system? No obstructions or problems with the fan?

It was a Dorman bracket.the pulley that goes on the bracket is in the same belt system, yes. Nothing with the fan. It was running, driving perfectly. No weird noise either

Go OEM. Is the belt ridiculously tight to prevent supercharger pulley slip?

Sounds good, was trying to save some money but I think oem with be worth it.

The new belt I put on was quite a bit tighter than the old one.

There’s a supercharger specific thread here. Post up in there to see their recommendations

Do you know well the AISIN products relate to the oem. I’ve been doing some research and heard good things about it. Toyota wants $480 for the bracket vs AISIN $140

Aisin is one of the OEM manufacturers of Toyota parts. Denso is another. Some other parts such as driveline parts can be Spicer, bearings from Koyo etc.
