I have a 2001 Tundra 2WD Access Cab with the 4.7 L V8. My negative battery terminal is broken. I want to buy an OEM Replacement from Toyota, but cannot locate the correct part number. Maybe they no longer make a negative battery terminal end replacement? The positive battery terminal assembly (Part # 90982-05035) is available on autoparts.toyota.com. I would like to find a new or used one that is in good shape because it would be much easier to loosen the nut at the end of the battery cable and put the new terminal assembly on it. If that is not an option, do any of you have any recommendations for aftermarket replacements? I would greatly appreciate your advice.

You’re not the first to come and mention the lack of negative terminal availability. As you will see in the EPC, they just don’t sell it: https://toyota-usa.epc-data.com/tundra/uck31l/3824/electric/8201/

It’s also nowhere in the Wiring & Clamp section: https://toyota-usa.epc-data.com/tundra/uck31l/3824/electric/8202/

Get a good quality aftermarket and install it properly. The car audio world is full of high quality replacement terminals. Be sure you use di-electric grease anywhere the cable itself is exposed to air, and at the end of the sheath to prevent air from getting in.

Always use felt terminal washers to cut down on corrosion.

Well if your wanting a fix that will get you by until you find exactly what you need JB Weld will certainly do the trick. I JB Weld an 18" 3/8 drive extension to a spark plug socket for my truck. I've been using it for 15 years dropped it kicked ran over it hadn't phased it. Just a thought good luck

I wanted to thank you all for your help and suggestions. I'm going to get an aftermarket terminal to get buy. I need to have the timing belt replaced soon and plan on replacing some parts (OEM or OE)-including the alternator-as preventative maintenance. I might as well install new battery terminal cables if I'm replacing the alternator.
