I recently picked up a 2006 Sequoia SR5 to add to my 2006 Limited Tundra. My Tundra has an auto dimming rear view mirror, my Sequoia has a standard mirror that is in rough shape. Can the auto dimming OEM mirror be added to the Sequoia, is the wiring hidden up in the overhead console? Secondly, the leather seats can use some attention, is there a good cover or replacement leather for the seats?

Can't help with the mirror, but Katzkin have been highly recommended here. They are fairly expensive, but they seem to have a good report.

ETA: Sorry, got the name wrong. It is Katzkin.

    Here is the link. https://katzkin.com/vehicle/

Is there an online dealer I can buy from and do the install myself? Everything I’ve found on them, you have to pay one of their installers to do the work.

If you walk through the steps of picking your design, you truck, all of the questions, you get to the end where you can put your information in.

Below that is a point that says, "Included: Professional Installation".

I am assuming, if you are wanting to install it, someone here may be able to help with that, but I think several on this board have done so themselves.

I think @LoMile_21 , @Ruggybuggy may be able to help, but if I am not mistaken, and you all can correct me if I am wrong, the general concensus is to pay the money and have it professionally installed.

For sure, if you haven't messed with hog rings and upholstery before I wouldn't use these for practice

Correct. I have never done it, nor have I messed with those things, so I would either have someone who has, help me, or pay someone.

You can add a Gentex mirror with homelink and it will be the same as the OE which is also a Gentex mirror. There isn’t a connector you can just plug into but it’s easy enough to power the mirror from the map light connector in the overhead console.

Katzkins for the seats but it takes skill to install and can get expensive if you mess it up.

I didn't want to use an installer so I got Katzkins through John (jhuey8947) but not sure he is still doing this or is still on this forum: john@affordableautoleather.com
I was going to go with Clazzio seat covers and after mulling it over for about six months and since I plan on keeping the truck for my lifetime, I decided to go with the Katzkins and leather, mine had SR5 cloth. There are some Clazzio images on the forum. I know the feeling of just trying to make something look a little better without throwing a ton of money at it. Check with a professional detailer first, some can rework and refinish the leather.

Yeah, I just picked this thing up. Drove it home, to Indiana, from California. It is going to my detailer next week, I just want to prepare for the worst!

The other thing I find comforting in paying a "professional" is that sometimes if things go wrong, you have some recourse (usually). If they rip, tear, break, or something, you might be able to get the fixed without paying yourself.

I know this is not EVERY time, but it is a nice feeling to have that as a backing.

I chose to use John with AfforadbleAutoLeather when I did my 04 DC LTD Tundra. John was a pleasure to work with and is also a member here.... @jhuey8947
