Broken antenna fix?

    2002 Sequoia
    Just picked up a new to me ‘02 Sequoia and it has a busted antenna. I have t done any digging yet but it’s currently patched in the upright position with aluminum foil. I’m not sure if the motor works of what’s even connected. I’ve read up on the issue a little bit and would prefer a short stubby replacement rather than a retractable one. Any advice would be appreciated.
