Trying to find the daytime running light wire, it’s not next to the battery, where the internet says it should be. Ideas?? Thanks

The connector is D2, it should be next to or 'behind' the battery.

Did all models have DRL’S? Could it be somewhere else? Thanks

DRL was not a standard feature, it was an optional feature on 1st Gen’s in USA. It should be in front of battery by head lights if yours came with DRL. It will also be part of the headlight/side marker harness. My 04 DC did not come with DRL nor is the connector part of the HL harness.

The connector is there by the battery on all models DC, AC, and standard cab.

    I think @BubbaW has your answer.

The DRL was simply the headlight on a very dim setting.

It is no loss if you don't have it.
I kept mine unplugged because I didn't want the headlight bulb to burn out.
However every time I took it in for service the dealership techs would plug it back in..:eek2::cool:

This is from my 04 DC. If you even have DRL, you should at least have the relay where the red circled slot is.

EDIT: @BubbaW beat me to it..:eek2::cool:

If you do have it, you'll have a DRL relay.
