    Hello all,

I have a 2019 Tundra, limited, crewmax, 4x4 with TRD off road package.

I noticed on the service interval to check and torque the propeller shaft and lubricate every 5k miles?

is this something that is needed?

does the mechanic shop do this every oil change?

just want my truck to last forever, have low miles at 30 k. To date I don’t believe it’s ever been done or noted on service records.

    Thank you for your time!

Most shops dont check for any driveline grease points during an oil change. You would have to tell them or just do it yourself.

Yes, if your truck has the zerk fittings then shoot some grease in them when you do oil changes every 5k miles.

My 2016 has driveline zerks but I think the 2018+ models stopped using them and went to unserviceable setup without the zerk fittings.

So look under there, front and rear driveshafts, u joints...if your truck has the zerks then grease them. If it does not, dont worry about it.

My 2016 has them front and rear shafts. frichco228 is correct, pretty sure 2018 + no grease fittings. You can have them check for sure when you take it in..
