    Hey all,
I bought a 2017 Tundra double cab back in Nov. I love this truck. It's in great shape but the headlights were getting foggy, so last week I had a pair of Morimoto XB headlights and foglights installed. They look great, however the turn signals are not doing the slick sequential move that the 4 y/o inside me demands.

I had them installed by a local mechanic, so I checked to see if the signal wires were connected, and they were. No problem, unplug them, right? Nope. I unplugged the wires but they're still flashing un-sequentially.

There's something in the docs saying that there might be hyper-flash or sequential turn signal issues if there are non-oem turn signal lights installed in the tail lights, "or elsewhere", however this truck, afaik, was bone stock when I bought it, with only 26K miles.

Before I start the deep dive, do any of you have any ideas or have you run into this issue?

    Thanks!

    Welcome to your first post..
I'm very surprised you paid someone to install these.

    Be that as it may;
Did you note this in the instructions?
These 2 plugs should not be connected.

    As well as this?

EDIT: this depends on the DRL whether it is the amber bulb or the LED strip.

If your truck has the white LED strip for the DRL your turn signal connector may look like the 3rd plug in the instructions and you'd use the proper adapter.
There should only be 2 wires next to each other to the turn signal plug...

If your truck had an amber DRL it should have the 4th plug configuration.
There should be 3 wires going into A12 and A13 turn signal connectors so their harness would not be used.
Pin 1 is the parking lights should only be there for amber DRL.
    Pin 2 is ground
Pin 3 is the turn signal

I'm guessing your 2017 truck had the white LED strip at the bottom of the headlight for DRL.
If it had amber DRLs using the turn signal, refer to page 9 of your headlight instructions.

    Good luck...

    Hey, thanks for the reply.

Really? People do this for free? :D

Yes, the first thing I tried was disconnecting those plugs on both sides. No joy.

RE: DRL, this was one of the reasons I brought this to a mechanic. You know, pay the pros to sort it out. Anyway, AFAIK I don't have DRL on this truck. There's no indication of DRL on the turn signal, and no lights were on when the truck was running and the switch was set to "off". I guess I'll take a look at that wiring and make sure the pins were configured correctly.

    Thanks again!

    Drew
