    Hello
I just purchased a 14 tundra and I tried to upgrade to the 2018 LeD headlight assembly , every time I turn the headlights on the passenger fuse blows , I tried looking for any exposed wire and there none . I swapped the wiring , the headlights assembly to the driver side to see if it will pop the fuse but nothing happened ,it worked flawlessly , I plugged the original halogen headlight back on and the fuse didn’t blow . Is there anything I’m doing wrong here , can someone help pls?
    Thank you

What adapter harness are you using with the 2018 led headlights? If you are using anything other than @iHacker harness. That maybe the problem.

As above? What harness are you using? They are not a plug and play upgrade without an aftermarket harness.

Definitely no namer and unknown whether it was pin correctly. Risky imo. Plus you probably will not get any after sale support. I would toss it and contact @iHacker for his harness. He offer great after sale support also. Good luck with the troubleshooting.

I think your cheap harness has something wired wrong.
It is shorting out and blowing the fuse.
I agree with @eddyking contact @iHacker and have him make you an adapter.

But if you want to troubleshoot what you have:
Compare both sides as far as wire placement, same color wires in the same place on the plug on each end.
I think one of the wires is in the wrong pin.

I'm guessing the low-beam fuse is blowing on the passenger side.
If you can read a wiring diagram, this is what it should look like..
The wire colors on the harness will be different.
Just follow the OEM wiring to the adapter to the headlights and see if they are correct.

I kept my amber DRLs on my 2014.
The dim white strips come on with the parking/headlights.

IF YOU DON'T FEEL COMFORTABLE TESTING THE WIRING, OR DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING, DON'T DO IT.

If you have a DMM (digital multi meter) check can the OEM wiring.
Check pin 3 the ground for continuity.
Then install the adapter and make sure they are the same on the new headlight plug.

    The 2014:
    Pin 1 low beam
    Pin 2 high beam
    Pin 3 is ground

    upload_2025-2-20_10-40-25.png

    The 2018+:

    Pin 1 high beam
    Pin 2 low beam
    Pin 4 ground
Pin 5 bright DRL white LED strips
Pin 6 dim DRL white LED strips

I was just thinking that. At the beginning i thought perhaps he was using Headlight Evolution. But i was wrong. Hopefully with your diagram he can salvage the harness. Otherwise, he may want to get the proper one and avoid all these headaches.

    Thank you for the diagram
That’s helpful, I will try to troubleshoot and see if I can salvage it … it’s weird that the fuse only blows on the passenger one …
How can I reach out to @iHacker ?

I tried connecting the headlight using the wiring diagram above and it worked without blowing the fuse but wasn’t bright enough , it could have been bcz of the way I spliced the wires but this tells me that it is the harness that was causing the issue in the passenger side headlight . I reached out to I hacker to order one from him . I learned my lesson and wasted 2 days messing with a Chinese brand harness … thank you all for your help and I’m happy that I found this forum …

Glad you’ve seen the light. You won’t be disappointed with iHacker’s harness. Quality using oem quality parts. It’s solid. Plus he’s always there if you run into issue. The oem led headlights are a major upgrade in functionality and aesthetic. Really bring the look to modern. We did the same conversion on my buddy’s 2016 SR5 along with led fog. He’s very happy and it’s been like 7 or 8 yrs already.

It does look good that I kept the new headlight on the truck while I wait for the correct harness :)
I appreciate all your help again
