Besides the price, is there a difference in the Carista OBD & EVO?

EVO says Expanded One-Click customizations... Does that mean the EVO has more options? Or does that mean it supports more manufacturers?

Is there a reason to get another brand that works with the Carista App?

Not from what i can tell. I’ve used both and there was no difference. Just used the OBD today

I have the EVO and I believe it says it connects faster. All I can say is if the other one is slower, God forbid

It's a pretty straight forward process from there?

Thanks. In terms of slower, how much slower are we talking? Like a few minutes, or like 30+?

I have both, the EVO is faster, has more options, and more diagnostic ability. If you are just wanting general changes, the OBD is fine.

It’s very easy. There a lot you can change. I didn’t notice a difference in connection time which was about 3-4 mins. It’s all marketing.

When you say more options, do you mean more I can change, like different chimes to turn off/on, or more in terms of Service and Live Data?

I've got both. I'll try and do a video on how long it takes to connect each.

Hey thanks - I was able top snag the EVO for like $10 more than the OBD about a month ago. I should have updated here. The EVO connected pretty quick - maybe 1.5 minutes? Pretty sure it was less than that

Looking to eliminate the annoying seat belt chimes (they do their job), but I'm curious about what others have changed using Carista that are worth considering. It sounds like the only difference between the EVO and the OBD2 is connection time. Is that correct? Both allow for the same customizations?

The customization is in the app. You don't need their OBD dongle for it to work.

Lane change flashes from 3 to 6 is a good one. I forget what else I did...
