Last night, it was probably 25F when we returned home from a 4 hour trip, and the tail gate just did a two beep failure, instead of closing. It did open, just wouldn't close 30 minutes later. I tired several times, same result. This morning, probably 40F, the tailgate worked. I checked last night and saw nothing that should have caused this.

The tailgate closed when manually pushed up and closed. The electric close/locking seemed to work fine.

Is this a common issue? Not that it is a big deal.

Tint and wheels. Decked box in the bed. S and B Cold Air filters under the hood. Shiftpower throttle response controller.
    Mine doesn't work either.

Having the same issue. Usually it works fine, then sometimes the 2 beeps. Lifting a tailgate is not a big deal, but lifting it with the resistance of the motors working against you is not enjoyable. Especially when you aren't sure why it isn't working properly. I was also wondering about temps, as it has been cold, but the issue has been happening at 30 F or 0 F with about the same frequency.

Example. Load skis and leave home, works fine. Arrive at ski hill unload, 2 beeps, have to lift the gate. Go skiing, come back, works fine.

Tried turning PTG "off" in settings and then back on to reset. Sometimes gets it working, sometimes not.

If anyone has input to why this happens or how to fix permanently, that would be appreciated.
