To delete the DRL I know it the grey wire down in the dash but if I cut it or should depinning it or maybe don’t mess with it ? Because I heard cutting it messes with the turn signal I just wanna them off plus I wanna upgrade the head lights in the future and I don’t want the amber drls to be on with the White DRLs

On your turn signal flasher module remove the gray wire by removing the wire from the connector. Removing the wire does not affect the turn signals. You could just cut it but it’s easy enough to remove the pin and easier to install the pin back in case you want to return to stock. After removing the wire, tape it up to protect it from shorting out. Here are a couple of pictures from the forum thread https://www.tundras.com/threads/201...lay-harness-for-2014-2021-models-v-2-0.24416/

I could not get pin out so I just cut and no problems with turn signals. Don't ever anticipate hooking back up but would be easy to splice.

if your looking at just doing an update I’m running 2022 headlights and grill on my 2016. I depinned the gray wire so I could run just the white DRLs.

Just remove the lead on the bulb for the DRL portion. No need to cut any wires.

The DRL and signal use the same wire so unless you don’t want signals…..

Isn’t it a dual filament bulb?

It is but the DRL uses the same filament as the turn signal. The other filament is the marker light.
