    Been reading this forum for awhile. My truck has issues. Plenty of threads addresses them. Especially the stickied so you wanna be a 1st gen owner thread. I've owned the truck for 18 years. Neglected the basics. Now I'm here. Sent a text to the "speed freak" fellow in Vista I got from here. He's mainly at the Tacoma site. Haven't heard back yet, but it's early. Appointment scheduled for Tuesday at TNT Services in Oceanside. Just concerned because he asked if my 1st gen v8 was manual or automatic. In the meantime, I'll revisit the transmission oil change threads, among others.
