Hi everyone. Long time lurker here. Have a 2007 SR5 double which I bought new with 180k, but recently bought a twin 2020 TRD Pro with 49k to replace.

IMG_3274.jpg It's gold certified, and was dealer maintained every 5k. No accidents, one owner. Has new good looking tires. Interior is a bit beat up, and doggified. Dealer's detailer wasn't very good. Found this yesterday. Didn't notice right away. Hungry puppy.

Not overly concerned, as my dog will call it home shortly , though i may replace the glass (with new clip) Exterior is not 100% either but I think it's mechanically sound which is all I really Care about. Underside is clean.

wish my 2007 topper would fit it. It's getting a new one this spring. I guess. I'll keep my 2007 for a while till firewood acquisition is complete.

My 2007 was rode hard and put away wet the first 1/2 of its life. It got the cancer which has been slowly killing it for the last 10 years. Ive promised myself I will Wash the under side more religiously of my new one. Started doing more mechanical stuff on my own- did new brake calipers rotors and master cylinder on my 2007 2 years ago. Gonna take what I've learned about my 2007 and use it on my 2020.

    Brett

Get the truck oil guarded. You can do it yourself if you have the right equipment. It will save your frame and truck bed. I live in an area that uses rock salt and my 2016 has no rust.

I hope you are meaning $$$ to customize and not saying I bought a money pit?

I run Everything stock pretty much. Not into lifts, big tires, loud exhausts, adding extra hp, etc. I'm strictly a ultilitarian, stock is fine for what I do.

I have 19 Tundra and 22 Sequoia. Both are rust-treated, but it does not stop electrochemical corrosion within welds. However did the frame for Toyota, the choice of filler material was not perfect.

As a fellow 2020 owner, welcome!

Spraying the underside with Woolwax will help to keep the rust away. And check out Ranch brand toppers. I like mine!
