Exactly why extra blankets/sleeping bags live in the bed. Never know when you're gonna just sit on a road somewhere for hours on end. This is fairly common for I-70 commuters. I saw people yesterday that said the drive from Denver took anywhere between 4-6 hours. Regular time should be about 1.5-2 hrs.

 

So far this winter I've been watching pretty much the entire country get snowstorms, and for a second or two I'm jealous.
We've had the Snowpocalypse forecast at least 3 times this season for the T/C area, and it always ends up tracking north or south of us, leaving us with a dusting to maybe an inch and a half at best.
I gotta keep telling myself to be careful what I wish for.

 

Moved into my new place last night. As of this morning, everything is unpacked and squared away. Didn't sleep that great last night but I should make up for it the next couple of nights. Feels good to be back in my own place again.

Also happy to be back on my desktop computer and off my laptop.

I have shed a lot of personal belongings over the years so it was only a matter of 4ish hours to get it all done. The challenge is keeping "stuff" at a minimum within reason.

Going to hit Ikea for some random bits and pieces later today. I think I might even get my 13 gallon aquarium filled and going tomorrow.

I saw an acrylic 240 gallon 8 foot long aquarium listed for sale on Sacramento Craigslist that would be perfect for the type of fish I like to keep. I'm pretty sure the apartment management would have a meltdown the first time they laid eyes on the 8 foot long, 2 foot wide, 2 foot tall behemoth. Comes with a stand and everything for only $800, screaming deal if anyone else is interested...

living without "things" always helps provide perspective. And you should get the fish tank, no matter what management allows, so you can provide yourself a reminder of how simple life can be when you live with perspective as your intention.

 

Because you never know when you might need that handy camel toe pantie set after you put your used blow up doll away in the trunk of your car with the "hurse" plate...
