Ended up going a different route and no longer need. This harness has never been plugged into anything and is still in new condition. Plug and play harness to add an amp and sub to your 2.5 gen. My truck was non JBL and I have to assume this kit is non JBL only.

Link to the harness on t12v site:

Edit: link is now dead for some reason

Link no longer works. But I think this is what I might need if it’s what I’m thinking it is for.

Sorry for taking so long to respond, I guess I never got the notification, or totally missed it

I can’t get the T12v site to open at all right now, so idk how to get you more info. All I know about this is that I asked James directly what I needed to add a sub without cutting anything and he sold me this harness.

And bump for you. With tag to @biebs96 for heads-up.

Props to t12v also, awesome products, great service. James was an awesome help when I was picking up equipment for my 1GT. Will definitely be back.

Sending this to a buddy with a non-JBL equipped truck.

Anything other than an amp required to set this up? I've got a JBL equipped truck, and bought his DSP JBL amp setup, so things for me were plug and play. Is it safe to assume this is similar? He'll need an amp, but that amp will get it's signal via this harness? That and he'll need to wire in his amp (power/ground)?

And thanks to Shifty for the archived link, I see there are options, do you know which you went with? No loc, 2 channel loc and 4 channel loc?

I went with the no LOC option because I already had my own LOC that I was going to use. Since the leads are just tapping the harness he will need his own LOC to convert the inputs to RCA connectors for the amp

Wouldn't that depend on whether the amp accepts speaker-level inputs?

Correct, and nearly all amps I've seen nowadays accept high level/speaker level inputs. Just need to use speaker wire to RCA adapters, or solderless RCA plugs and as always, set your gains properly, since your input voltage will be higher without a LOC which brings us full circle to the terms high level/speaker level :)

Yes and yes, my bad. My amp does not have a high level input so I was just going off of my shopping list when I bought this harness.

    Thanks gents :hattip:
