    looks good dude!

I had done the same to some Rock Warrior wheels 2-3 years back. I liked it and that was all that mattered to me.

The wood was there so I didn’t cut through the bed of my truck. That would have sucked !

Looks like you need an Allen head screw to sit flush. Did the bolt come with the d ring?

Out of curiosity, did you paint the letters or are these a replacement set?

No I thought it would’ve come with its own hardware especially considering the $
    But not so much.
I’m invested now cause I’ve cut my bed liner
I am hoping to have this resolved tomorrow Lord willing

Just an update while I have time.

I have sourced OEM replacement bolts
for just in case. I have a guy who can turn the heads but he can do it today
I have contacted another shop that charges $100 minimum for turning two bolt heads
The oem bolts are like $20 a piece
My goal is to buy the oem replacement bolts to put in place while the old bolts get turned.

Have you thought about finding a bolt with the same thread but a different head?
Just curious if that might be better than turning down the oem bolt.

Edit: Just looked and he has a hardware kit but I don't think these bolts fit what is in our beds. But maybe you can find a shoulder bolt that would have our threads and use that.

I have lights on the left and right side wall of the bed and the picture came out blurry
I was trying to get a picture since I was moving stuff around
I also installed the morimoto 3rd brake light

I am to pick up the bolts that are being turned today. I spoke with the shop manager and we were on the same page. The bolt head is off by some measure that’s not a lot but when your talking machining you have to be accurate and I’ll try to get those measurements today

    Amen
I do like to see what everyone does with their canvas. I saw a tundra that if I see it again I will have to meet the guy. It was a long bed tundra and it was in beast form. So much so that I nearly ran a light looking at it. His truck was like something that I thought could be on the cover of a magazine

I’ll clean up the threads and see the other bolt that I gave him he used a more sophisticated method to get the washer off without having any issues with the threads.

Worse case he know what I need and I’ll send him one more bolt.

I saw the brackets that were posted on here and these bolts extend ( as far as I can tell ) through the bed into welded holes so those brackets would not work.

the most important thing is I’ve established a rapport with a great guy and I have plenty ideas
Albeit not all come to pass.

Those brackets are meant for other applications, not working with the existing bed hoke for our truck.

Yours look good. Post up pics once you install the D-rings and let us know how secure. Hard to tell how much that D-ring will add to the fastener stack up. Hopefully it does still feel nice and secure.
