    Middle of Timing Belt - Possibly Cam seals
    this port was full of gunk. I cleaned out a lot near the opening but wanted to find out what this port is/does and if its ok to use a paperclip and some carb cleaner to clean it out real good..

    Basically your crankcase is vented to there, so the blow-by blows into that area. Its going to be crusty oil like and yes a paperclip should do fine with some carb cleaner to bust it up.
