    I also think it's somewhat deceptive to call it a LSD.

    It's the outside tire on a turn, that makes it fun!!! you can kick it out sideways a bit but still have the grip on 1 to get it straightened back out. When it rains my tundra turns into a drift car. :rofl:

    I like to test the traction on wet surfaces. My Gen 1 Tundra (open diff) would leave you stalled while one wheel spins if you tried to pull out in traffic at a mildly accelerated rate if it wasn't in 4WD mode.

    The 3rd Gen (Auto LSD - Traction Control - Whatever else you want to call it) definitely improves 2WD traction. I typically turn on 4WD if it's raining so that pulling out in traffic isn't ever a problem. But... most of the time it's really not needed, the traction control in 2WD mode is definitely improved over the 1st Gen's open diff. I mostly engage 4WD mode in the rain now because I need to exercise the mechanisms.
