I’m having some body work done to my 2007 Double Cab 5.7 4wd and included a new rear bumper for my body guy to swap out with my old dented chrome bumper. He texted me and asked “do you need a hitch”? He said the old bumper is part of the receiver assembly and it will have to be removed to install the new bumper. I watched 2 or 3 2007-2013 bumper swap outs on YouTube and it looked like a 15 minute job. Is there something different about a 2007? My body guy definitely knows his stuff, so I trust his knowledge. Photo is from the backside of the removed bumper, I haven’t been able to put eyes on it yet, he said I should be able to put an aftermarket hitch on the truck with no issue. Any clue what is going on? Or if I need to post in a different thread?
