    Hello to all,

Took the Tundra in last week bc the passenger side rubber trim (on the very bottom inside of door) came off. In addition to the door trim, i already had a claim in re the front screeching brakes, that also had a TSB on it. I had the brakes done last week too bc there was "a cancellation w another Tundra so we can do yours today". So, i took it.

When conversing w the service advisor, I asked him if there were any other issues that i needed to be aware of or that were eventually coming? He informed me that the trim pieces were an issue & brakes. He then stated that "the 2022/23 Tundras had engine iisues, but were fixed in the 2024's".

So, have any of you guys had add'l issues w your 2024 trucks? If so, could you pls list them so i know to be on the lookout? I'm at 4610 miles and getting ready to change the oil. If there's anything else you proactively recommend, it would be very much appreciated.

Thank you in advance for all your help and suggestions. I also hope you were not one of the 2022/23 guys w engine issues, and these engine problems were addressed on the 2024's.

    Best,
    tstex

OP asked those with 2024 trucks to share their experiences but again que Team 2 chime in happy to search/copy/paste examples to pile on.
Good luck with your new truck tstex! Mine is a year older and outer door trim has been my only real issue. (Platinum trim pulling away)

Is that a dig at me Woodrow? Im trying to help OP out and give him info already posted that may assist him.

I dont need your passive aggressive intervention and team 2 dig...whatever that is about. You think I am dissing the 3rd gen or what? By trying to help someone with information? I gave no personal opinion on the 3rd gen and just listed relevant threads.

Those threads are about 2024+ models, so should offer the OP some insight on what other have experienced.

don’t take it personal because it isn’t. I lumped you in with what seems to be a lot of folks who are quick to point out negatives with the latest model of Tundra. If you are also on the forum eager to point out the positives you are seeing with these models then I digress and definitely appreciate information that helps us all.

I’ve been seeing too many passive progressive commercials lately and it’s rubbing off I guess lol

You quoted his post and made it personal.

OP literally asked about ISSUES not “positives”

He’s not required to post any positive things, or any negative things. He just posted relevant threads to the topic since no “3rd genners” or “team 3” people were piling in here to post.

Everyone needs to chill out. Lot of butt hurt going around.

My experience with the 2023 has been the door trim and throttle lag at times. The door trim separation seems to follow dark color trucks on hot days. I think they may have changed adhesives by 2024 but something to monitor.
