2023 here. I had mine unplugged for over a week and no DTCs appeared. I know others on here have had the same experience. I would definitely try to protect the connector/wires from water intrusion if I were to leave it disconnected long term.

Thanks I did not realize you need a $500 module to make this work

My '24 doesn't seem to mind that I took the spoiler off.

Mine's a '24 SR5 and I get the error message when I disconnect the front spoiler connector. I currently have the spoiler motor sitting inside the winch cavity of the front bumper solely to keep the motor connected to avoid the error messages.

This is probably the best option as of now if you don’t want the error. Some bumpers include a relocation solution.

Can you remove the actual spoiler while keeping the motor connected and not get an error message, or how does the TRD lift kit deal with this? Do you have the instructions for the TRD lift kit?

That's what I am currently doing. The motor is connected and I don't get the error messages. But the spoiler has been removed. I assume that the motor sits in there and actuates when it normally would, but it is not connected to the spoiler, so it is not accomplishing anything when it actuates.

Although I will say that after I installed my front bumper and secured the spoiler in the winch cavity I tried to actuate the motor by doing the winshield wiper arm thing (or whatever it was - I can't remember now), and I couldn't get the motor to do anything. Whereas prior to removing the spoiler I was able to get the spoiler to actuate using the service over-ride. Not sure what that is about. Maybe it senses that the spoiler is not there and won't actuate?

Mine is a 2024 SR5 Off-road and got the error message on the display. Boy it is very annoying and has to be constantly cleared. CBI told me they had issues with the module and are redesigning it. Not sure what the issue was/is. They likely won’t have any for months. Anyone find a solution other than putting the motor back in without the air spoiler? My dealer said they cannot reprogram it because there is no way for them to do it. Do they just not know how?

After my trd lift installed I noticed that motor is still there plugged in and would really like to get it out of there. Especially when I upgrade the bumber at some point. I'm hoping there is a cheap easy option to pull that junk out. I'm just assuming it will push a code when unplugged.

Weird that some experience the error while others don’t. I’ve completely removed my spoiler and motor and haven’t received any error after a couple of months. I ordered the CBI delete module but thinking I should cancel the order since it appears I don’t need it.

I have the CBI module but plugged it in while doing the bumper install so idk if I actually needed it. No errors though.

So if you remove the spoiler is there any arms or anything that move up and down or anything to be seen from the front of the truck by just leaving the motor only plugged in? This won’t throw any codes right?

Which fuse is it exactly? Doesn't through another code?

Curious. As to the active spoiler. What trim level do you have for those who have disconnected the spoiler and had no error message? Such as blind spot monitor, back up sensors etc.
