It's awesome! Quality-wise tent is not quite Hilleberg, but OK for the task. The stove runs hot, it has a built-in ~2.5 gallon water tank, which doubles as steam generator. The stove pipe has a steam dryer orifice. Once the fire starts howling, the stove fills the tent up with dry steam in minutes. We've got about 200 degrees inside the tent yesterday, in a high 20 weather. Certainly something I missed in my 2 weeks trips to wilderness. This one I can set up quickly and even take with me on canoe.

The only downside is it comes with assembly instructions and principles of operation written in Japanese :)

That is a wicked look. I've been thinking about moving to the packout boxes. I've currently got everything I carry in a couple different designs of containers. Since this pic was taken I've added a factory bed divider with a shovel mount. In the Dewalt tool boxes on the right I've got straps, my portable air compressor and air hoses/tools, but your packout setup looks clean as hell.

I believe (but not certain) that on “lower” trim levels the lights will work but not the power fold.

Nice! We had a blast, camped in tents west of the mess where the race came back towards hammer town. I was with a Gen 2 red Tacoma that had white bedsides most of the weekend. Have to say KOH is a wild time, lawless chaos. We had tons of fire works and were launching 4” mortars all weekend. Happy to report no lost body parts.

No missing body parts is always important! We had a good view of the fireworks from our camp, spectate the chaos at chocolate thunder most evenings. It was definitely a mad house. First time for all of us, but im certain it won't be the last! Next year I'm gonna bring my 93 yota pickup. I was kicking myself the whole trip not having my toy

Thanks for the link. However, I have no idea what "dry steam" is other than an oxymoron. I do much prefer a sweat lodge over a sauna.

For my whole life I have always just dug a hole, covered it with tent poles or saplings and a tarp or rainfly, then rolled white hot rocks from a fire into the hole and then poured water over the rocks. Would love a more semi-permanent solution that I can utilize along our riverbank.

I am with your kids in the awesomeness of rolling in snow(or jumping into cold water), inbetween sessions.

Steam you get from boiling water has water droplets in it. It is a "wet" steam. Keep heating this wet steam further, and it vaporizes the droplets and now it is all in gaseous phase - the "dry" steam. Dry steam is hotter, because it is not vaporizing anymore and thus does not drop temperature doing so.

Yeah, I'm sweating like pig in this tent =) Guessing, without water it will be dry sauna. Though not sure the stove was designed to run waterless. It glows red even with water filled. Good thing at the end you still have a couple gallons of boiling water, which is very handy in outdoors life.

I'm no longer doing that. Pitch the tent, assemble the stove, chop wood planks, go! Steam in 20 minutes from the moment you decided you want a sauna today.

That was my thought. Just get some platinum mirrors and run the wires for power fold to a new OEM mirror switch

While I won't be 'doing' anything for a couple of weeks, I did make a purchase from Colton yesterday and very much looking forward to the install.
