I'm planning on putting a westcott lift and 35's on my truck in the future, but am looking at getting a Gen Y Boss Torsion hitch. Wondering what drop I would need. Can anyone with this set up measure from the center of the hitch to the ground to give me an idea of how much of a drop I would need.

    Thanks

You might be better off getting the lift and tires done first then measure your own.
I'm sure that torsion hitch isn't cheap. Wait and be sure you get the right drop.

I have the factory 3” lift with 35’s and plan on getting a 4” drop hitch. I have airbags so height is slightly subjective.

Depends on where you end up. I personally prefer level trailer, very slightly nose down with 10% tongue weight.
But that's an ATV utility single axle trailer.
You need to roll up to the hitch when you are all done the lift and tires, lower the trailer tongue to where it should
be and measure. Tongue weight and trailer angle after that.
If I'm way off base here, someone let me know. I don't haul RV trailers

Yeah. The thing is I want it for my road trip this year, and don’t plan on lifting till my tires wear out. Don’t want to have to buy twice haha

    Good point.
Depending on the trailer tongue weight and With the soft Tundra suspension, you will likely want to start with your ball height maybe 2" higher than level.
By the time the truck is done squatting you'll be riding level.

Doesn't the Gen Y hitch have multiple ball height positions?

Need to know what you are putting on it. I carry 3 different hitches for 3 trailers. It isn’t so much the truck is level as it is the trailer is if running dual axle

Single axle as well if it has surge brakes.

30 foot tt. My truck has bags so I’m not worried about sag too much.

I’ll be towing a travel trailer roughly 7k-7250 loaded. I also have bags.

Trailer duals need to sit level. If your tongue heavy or tongue high, the front dual or rear dual overloads, plus carry the majority of the braking. When its time to slam on the brakes, you want all 4 trailer tires doing their job of the braking

I would probably get the 7-1/2" or 10" drop. With 5 or 6 different ball height positions, you would have all your uses covered.

Of course. Hence why I want to ensure I have a proper amount of drop hitch.
