2006 DC 4x4 tundra crank no start. Cranks over strong, seems like it might almost start, but never fires) I can smell gas, I think its flooding on cranking.

The forums have been really helpful with this. I think I've read all the ones on this issue.

    what I've done:

confirmed no spark (conduit wire from coil to block, nothing) on a brand new coil that I replaced for a misfire and ran for a week after just fine.

Fuel relay is clicking, all fuses are good, and I'm getting 12v to the fuel pump resistor. Resistor value is .9 ohms. I bypassed it and still no start (no spark).

    code came back as 1340
    1.camshaft position sensor
    2. Ignitor circuit 8

As a dummy check due to it being rainy I did pull the ECM to look for water damage. Nothing.

The radio stopped working a few weeks ago (I did a crutchfield radio job with the crux unit)

Pulling the negative terminal did reset the radio and it started working again. Not sure if thats related.

I ordered a cam position sensor from rockauto (Denso).

I did have a wire nicked by the serpentine belt that I believe was to the crank sensor, as the cam shaft wire and blue housing is untouched. I repaired it with some liquid tape and never had an issue for the last few months.

any additional stuff I should look into troubleshooting while I wait for parts?

To clarify I think the crank shaft sensor could be part of the problem, but it seemed like a different code gets thrown for that.

Is the check engine light on and is P1340 the only code ?

Normally a pending code will not cause check engine.
I would also double check "cam shaft wire and blue housing".

Time will tell if new sensor fixes it but until then the one check you could attempt is to check for 5vdc at vehicle harness side for camshaft sensor as per below.

    I will do that.

I'm having a consistent problem where none of my codes ever turn on a CEL. I had a misfire that never showed a code, bad O2 sensor and the light never comes on when the car is running (light functions).

I had a few other pending codes but they haven't come back, and I didn't check the codes until after I tried a bunch of stuff. i didn't write them down. But there was something about a cylinder 2 misfire and a injector or something. I will run the codes again this evening and see if any have come back.

Just remember if you do the voltage test of camshaft sensor with IGN ON like test requests, there will be a code logged.
    Hmmm....that's not good.

Ok, cam sensor came in the mail today. Popped her in and she runs great.

Still need to find a grommet and clip for the housing/wire.

No codes after a 15 minute idle. I will do a test drive in a few, but everything seems fine.

Side note: Engine is noticeably quieter and I have more power/acceleration. Not sure if thats related.
