That’s how long Toyota Service Bulletin TSB-0043-24 kit is taking to come in?

Thats what he said it took for the last cust kit to come in. How is that possible if they are doing brake jobs every day? Ridiculous

I wonder if the parts would come in faster if a person were to just order them as customer pay?

    OP, where in Louisiana?

The dealership was Bohn Toyota on the Westbank of New Orleans. I now use Lakeside Toyota on east bank in Metairie.
I was one of the first kits I believe. But I filed a complaint with the Louisiana Attorney General consumer affairs office. So there was a little pressure being applied in my case! Squeaky wheel gets the grease!

Man, I guess they are still having problems.
The fix is brake pads and rotors! Not some exotic parts to make. I guess that or those part numbers are in demand.
The bright side is we definitely know what the fix is. Sorry, you’re still having these problems.
Like I said it was a year and a half for me. And I would have been patient but Toyota basically closed my complaint ticket and said keep my ear to the ground for an upcoming fix. When they should have put me on a list, assured me they would be contacting me as the customer, and given me some kind of tracking number/TSB number so I know my problem was documented and I was in the line for a fix that was on the way, not be waiting on a fix that may never come and might be some kind of rumor!
I told them that I was going to my state AG and that’s what I did. It worked out. But I don’t credit the Toyota customer care line. They didn’t know anything and were not any help.

Well I have been driving my tundra daily since my company truck is broke down. Not one squeak out of brakes. But if leave it for several days they squeak a little when backing out of garage.

I have a 2024 Tundra with the brake squeal problem. Loved the post from another member about it was either the trash truck or the Tundra! I took mine in late October 2024. They confirmed it fell under the TSB-0043-24. Same parts list as Ranman926 posted. I called last week and they say they have everything but the pads, that the pads are still on back-order, frustrating! The good news is, they finally have my second key which I am going to pick up Tuesday. Also, I wasn't comfortable with waiting the 10,000 miles for my first oil change; found out from the service rep I've been dealing with that you don't have to wait until 10,000 miles to get that free change done, you can get it anytime. I will have that done Tuesday (2/11) as well at a little over 5,000 miles. I've been doing 5,000mi changes on vehicles for many years, never had a major engine problem-maintenance is everything! Thanks to all for your input on the brakes! Good information!

Thanks. I’m glad my information helped someone! It was definitely a frustrating experience. Good luck! My brakes have not squealed since the repair. Good fix!
Waiting on the engine change out next.
Most of my neighbors know it is fixed and it is definitely the trash truck now not Randy’s Tundra!

2023 with 48k miles... Brakes never squeaked unless the pads worn down.
