Read somewhere recently that it's a good idea to install a performance exhaust when you install the Magnuson.
I assume If I get the Magnuson first and install a performance exhaust at a later date I'm going to need to get my truck tuned again.

Had the TRD Supercharger in my Tacoma and just ran the stock exhaust since the HP gains aren't that great with a V6 as far as adding an exhaust goes.

It was hard enough to convince the Banker (See Wife who's literally a Banker) that I needed the Magnuson and if I were to add a new exhaust She's going to come back with....Here we go again with your Mods!!!
It's always something with you and your Truck.....yada,yada,yada!!!
Of course I want a performance exhaust anyway but how far do you need to go with the exhaust?

contact @dirtydeeds , has exhaust options that actually improve HP and torque and has lots of experience with Tundra superchargers.

Whatever this forum told me to do
    Depends.

How much power are you looking for?

I'm at ~500whp with stock exhaust. (+trd exhaust)

You don't need an exhaust for a supercharger unless you are chasing max HP and/or sound.

To clarify terms you do not need a tune for a catback exhaust. Aside from the sound and aesthetics I doubt a catback will net you much if any gains.

Now if by exhaust you mean long tube headers, then yes you would need a retune if you added them later just don't expect big HP gains.

HP/$ the Supercharger will give you the most bang for the buck by far. While headers on a supercharger wont give you monster gains they do let you make the same power or more with slightly less boost. There are probably other benefits too like lower engine temps.

For reference the Maggie blower will net you about +200WHP; LTHs will get you around +10WHP to +20WHP, where on the power curve depends on the header design and diameter. Most of the power will be mid and upper range.

Something to note is LTH can be a pain to get the rear O2 sensors to behave in states that require the sensors to remain. I suspect this isn't an issue for a build in Texas. This issue can get tuned out but certain tuners wont tune out the sensors. This is also not an issue with just a catback upgrade.

more than I can list here

There’s no centrifugal supercharger for a tundra (that I know of). The twin screw you’re proposing doesn’t care what exhaust you have (for max power).

But for low end torque, treat your exhaust system as if your truck was naturally aspirated. The supercharger won’t care and it’ll power thru it mid range and up top.

Feel free to call for a deeper explanation.

Well step one is don’t tell the wife lol.

But having had the 8in DD standard and the full race exhaust (both with supercharger), I would say doing the Standard cat back DD exhaust is the way to go for most people as it keeps it simple and you don’t need to retune or mess with O2 sensors. You get some gains, its bolt on, it’s not too expensive and sounds great. Full race exhaust with headers is super cool but it becomes more of a project vehicle at that point, the sound is stellar and gains are felt haha.
