Pardon the dust, but just caught this - very auspicious right after the Lunar new year! May it last for another 19 years as reliably as it has been in last 19 years:

He was higher than me for a minute, up by about a thousand. But last I checked, I think I'm up on him by a thousand. If I take on this job near the GA/AL border in the coming weeks, that may end up being a couple thousand sooner than later. It'll take me at least half a dozen trips out/back and it's roughly 150mi per round trip. And that's just for the 1st chunk of work, the 2nd may be quadruple that much. But hey, maybe I'll finally get my heads nice and shiny again, coursing all that hot synthetic oil over them.

I did get some time to further modify my OBDLink gauges to cover a bit more of what I'm interested in seeing. I wish they gave you a way to adjust for tire size so you could calculate miles/mpg proper, but ... meh.

I drive MAYBE once a week around 15 miles if that. Since last oil change in October, I drove just over 200 miles. At this rate, I will probably drive less than 1k miles/yr.

As long as you're not leaving it anywhere rodents can nest under the manifold, on top of the tank, or get into the air filter box or blower motor via the cowl, or the rear cab-wall vents, no problem.

Oh, and you're changing oil based on time, not months. Especially if 15 miles a week, short-trip style (under 5-10 miles each way) is the norm.

I have a lot of squirrels around my neck of woods and the car sits outside. I hope nothing happens.
I do oil change yearly at this point during inspection time. (required in my state every year). I haven't had to top up my fluid so far but will see.

With my daily still in the shop, I'm @ 80,868. I'll hit 81k Tuesday if my insurance company doesn't get off their ass and approve the bill......
