I was thinking that too. Time pretty critical here as I only have tonight, wed, and Thursday to get done whatever needs to be done. House will be tented tomorrow AM through Wednesday at noon

Check the build link in my signature.
    What this guy said.
Patching will take a lot less time than trying to fully mud and texture new rock.

I recently had the same scenario. 2 old closet systems left 200 holes. I hit them all with the bottom handle of my mud knife and hit them with mud twice. Quick pole sanding and it came out perfect for a closet. I wouldn’t even bother with the sanding since yours has a knockdown finish.

Our dryer vents out to a covered side porch which is also my workout room. Bought a new washer & dryer set and now the room has been filling up with dryer lint. I don't know if the old dryer ate lint or was storing it up to burn down the house but that thing ran for eight years and I barely saw dust. This new one has been running for a few months and the shit is covering my workout equipment. And yes, I let it build up. I'd think about it while I was working out and then forget about it until the next time I worked out. I'm old.:burp:

    IMG_6434.jpg

So I bought a Better Vent indoor vent from Amazon and hooked it up. Hopefully this solves my problem. Now I get to spend the next few days trying to get the lint off of everything...

so i'm guessing you'll have to change that filter alot?
does it build up in that elbow at the bottom where it turns up?
i've never seen something like this, so i'm not familiar with them

It's got a hatch that you can open up with a small screen and a filter.
    IMG_6436.jpg
There's also a hatch at the top that pops open when 80% of the air flow is blocked.

    IMG_6437.jpg
Basically, I'll go out once a day (before my workout) and clean the trapped lint. If the blue filter gets crazy, I can toss it or clean it.

    IMG_6438.jpg

You can buy replacements or pick up a few of those cheap furnace filters and cut your own.

As far as the elbow, it shouldn't be much different than having one behind the dryer. The total run is super short. I also used a twist lock connector so if it does start getting clogged, it won't be hard to clean it.

i was worried about air flow restriction and all if/when it gets clogged. good to know there's a trap door to alleviate it.
good deal. hope it works for y'all!

I hope so. I was originally going to reroute it but that was going to be a major construction project and I know better than to tackle that on my own. This seemed like the easiest and cheapest solution.

The SVS Isolation Feet I bought do work, but not completely. The sound quality has increased tremendously, and most of the "walking' has been cured. But certain frequencies still make it walk a bit. I'd say 91% improvement.

Raised the entryway to my driveway up a couple feet and widened.

Gate has been love tapped a few times in weather since it was very difficult to get out.

This took 10 tons of crushed concrete and I'm not even sure how much compaction dirt...but it was a lot.

My new house has a big playroom above the garage and in the summer it was hotter than the rest of the house (by 5-6 degrees) and winter it’s colder. I realized when I put in an exhaust in the garage that the walls were 2x4s instead of 2x6s like the rest of the house and also not insulated.

Got some garage door insulation panels for 100$ or so per door. They’re already cut width wise to fit standard doors and you cut to length. Takes about 5mins to do a panel about. Has a nice tight fit so don’t need anything to hold it in. Gonna insulate the walls too but good start!

    IMG_6308.jpg
    IMG_6310.jpg
    IMG_6315.jpg

Also the garage seals were just cedar planks and not really airtight (could see daylight through the sides of the door). Didn’t know these vinyl seals were a thing until recently and pulled the cedar and replaced (about 35$ a door). Goes really quick and you can hand fit to make the door tight to the seal. Probably wear out over time.

Yep, going to have to look into the platform. No one was home last night so I cranked the music and this thing still walks...

Sound quality in the video is absolutely awful. It sounds wonderful in real life.

It will literally walk across the room until the cable is pulled tight and then unplug itself.

Raised the front gate 15", so it's time to get after it.
    IMG_6988.jpg
    Let's go!

Started moving boulders from the back up to the front. Then I started placing the boulders to retain the entryway material.
    IMG_6996.jpg IMG_6998.jpg IMG_6997.jpg

I then started taking out the big boulders from my storage spot. I will need to rent a skid steer for these ones though.

    IMG_6999.jpg

To add a little extra, my dog was trying to tell us something last night and this morning. Well come to find out we had a small dog hiding out in the back part of the property curled up in a ball. Thankfully cougar/coyote/bobcat/fox didn't get him last night. Still looking for his owners...but starting to think he was dumped.

At first glance, I was originally thinking to myself “when did Chris get a small dog?”

They do make the best cuddle dogs. Poor dude was probably super cold last night

This past week we had 50-66*F temps. I still have snow piles, but we are getting more this weekend.
