A favorite movie convo that @LarryDangerfield dissagreed with. Some bad jokes as well as a few people worried about the price hikes were about to see on maple syrup.

Well that makes me want to go back and look so I can disagree too!!

And yeah, but us lowly Americans wont have to worry. Big Syrup will just cut our stash more to keep pricing in control.

I do not think I have seen taxi driver, but his review on The Departed makes me immediately not trust him... next thing he will say is Green Street Hooligans is a solid 3 and then I would have to hate him. So I will not be reading more of his reviews at this point.

Plus, I need to point out that Point Break is the only good thing Anthony Kiedis from the RH Chili Poopers has ever done.
    IMG_6183.jpg

And when he got shot in the foot, he really brought the method acting to a new level, should have been a new Oscar category, IMO.

The inversions can be bad. This year not so bad. It was 60 today with strong winds which means a storm is brewing.

    Yes to all these.

I even like the 1956 version of 3:10 to Yuma though I'm sure no one else would.

For the past 10-12 years, Denver has gone to shit. Having a crap Denver mayor doesn’t help it come back to be what it used to be. I avoid Denver like the plague. I have zero desire to be there

Whatever this forum told me to do
I was looking at high crime/shitty counties and came across this.
    Houston-check
    Austin - check
    Denver - check

I reckon, if we concentrated our crime fighting efforts to the "blue" sections, we could lower the stats by 80%.

    or thereabouts....

appears to be a correlation with how people vo...........nevermind.

Big time facts. I built the I70 tunnel near Purina in Swansea a couple of years ago and the shit we saw wandering around the job was mind blowing. Lots of folks with little to no regard for the law.

Same thing here in Tucson. I've lived here my entire life, but lately it has become a shithole. We've talked about moving, but housing prices are insane.

Me neither. Public streets are also the insane asylums, among other things. It’s an efficiency thing.

It’s not a color thing. People are concentrating where they can get help while they die, or where they can, but they are everywhere in smaller numbers. Except I’m assuming in your neighborhood. That’s not a safe or efficient place for them to hang out, I’d assume.

Whatever this forum told me to do
    This.

Hospitals & densely populated apartment complexes breed social service dependency.

concentrating, not necessarily to die, but to survive, for free, off the gov dole.

    its been instilled/taught for generations.

    Austin Tx is ruined.

    Houston, TX is ruined.

    both, literally, have no-go zones.

I do live far enough to not be directly affected....but, we are now surrounded by "all that". it's only a matter of time.

We moved here because zoning does not allow multi-family dwellings & home must be >3k SqFt.

If we stay on the present course, thing may improve in the next few years.
it will be painful....insert storming, norming, performing graph.

They’re going to where they can, to die as slowly as possible, which is a common goal. Until they are put somewhere else, I assume efficiently.

Perfect example. I took this pic a few minutes ago driving to the office. A group of homeless, one of them dancing around a fire he lit on the ground of a park.

Edit, fire cut out on pic, but it's there.

Speaking as someone who lived in Surprise, AZ for 5 years (West Valley, Maricopa County), Tuscon had a reputation of being the Arizona version of Berkeley/Oakland of California amongst the native and long term Arizonan's I interacted with. Not surprised you see that kind of craziness on the way to work.

In many places in California if you venture out of the touristy areas you will see stuff like that. You end up with enclaves of very expensive communities with their private security, middle class neighborhoods that are semi-safe but crime bleeds into and everywhere else.
