You would have to contact them to see. After many years of Rocky and Thorogood I switched over last year and after break I was suprised at how comfortable and durable they are. I have used them in the woods and a marine environment and they have stood up well.

I’ve always liked my Haix, but they may not be too budget friendly.

Oof… crazy post revive from the last two responses, but I will weight in. I’ve been a cop for 15 years now and at least half that time has been spent in maybe 3 pairs of Bates tactical side-zip boots that looked like they had pokeballs on the bottom. I can usually get 2-4 years out of them. Every time I strayed away from the boot I ended up back in them. Chasing dudes through the woods, working through hurricanes, all kinds of use and abuse. For the price I always found them cheap and reliable. Now it looks like they’ve upgraded the design, which I haven’t tried yet; but I probably should buy a new pair soon. But honestly, always wanted to hunt down a pair of solid leather side-zip boots that I could resole and keep for the rest of eternity.

I’ve had my Danner Acadias for 17 years. During that time I’ve sent them to Danner to re-sole three times. They’ve handled everything that’s been thrown to them. The only downside is they’re heavy.

I’ve also had 5.11’s. They’re cheaply made and don’t last. My rear sole gave out after 2 months. I had to apply shoe glue to repair it.

I bought a pair of Haix but they’re just not comfortable.

For me, all roads lead back to my trusty Danners. Craftsmanship is superb.

Those Danners will outlive you!! They are tough as nails, but I despised them at the academy. They are so heavy and uncomfortable. Even after I broke them in.
I rolled my ankle twice doing down a steep set of mountains.
    For me now it’s Lowas.

I wore a pair of Bates side zip boots literally every day, like one would wear tennis shoes, from winter 2014 till 2020 or there abouts.

Even wore those in Indonesia which is not a comfy place to wear well, shoes at all! (India was hot and humid but Indonesia is worse!)

Those were great in deep snow too by the way.

Bates may have taken a dive in quality though as the first pair lasted from 2014 till 2019 but the second pair grenaded in about 2 years.
