Noticed this a few months ago and forgot about it till today after going to the car wash. Told my service manager about it and the master mechanic took pics and wrote Toyota about it. Don't expect to hear anything back but wondering if anyone else has this. Front driver and passenger fenders where the wheel well trim meets the body panel. Looks almost as if the black from the wheel well trim is rubbing off on the paint. It does not seem like the paint is being worn down like the tailgates have done but I don't want to start scraping at it too aggressively. Tried rubbing it off with a soft cloth, didn't budge. Waiting till the weather is warmer and will pull the wheel well trim off.
My thought is that if it's the trim that's rubbing I'll sand it down so it doesn't contact the paint, that would probably be the least intrusive solution.
    Anyone else have this?

Buy some Goo Gone…or Goof Off. Test some on a rag in an inconspicuous spot ( inside of tailgate edge). Clean area then wash with warm soapy water. When dry reseal the paint with a carnuba or ceramic

Why are your wheel well liners not matte black plastic? That looks like overspray, or the black wheel liners were painted a gloss black.

    No, I'm the only owner.
1794 Limited Edition comes with the gloss wheel well trim.

Could be but I'd think this was painted prior to installation, not while on the truck.

Mine have rubbed the paint off. Happens when they expand in the summer.

No, I hate dealing with the dealership. They always end up doing more damage or a quick fix that doesn't solve the issue.
