    The Dirty T ( ^_^)_且

I have Fred the retarded desert tortoise that lives in my backyard, but that's only because he showed up in my garage one weekend a few years ago and I put him in the backyard so I could call Game and Fish on the following Monday. Then I couldn't find him for a long time, so he became a permanent resident.

When someone is seriously dealing with any addiction, and family continues to support them, they won't find help for themselves. Cutting him off is actually showing him you care. Or at least that's what all the addiction counselors I know would tell you. IMO As ruthless as it sounds you are totally in the right by protecting your family and showing him the boundary.

I saw the periodontist today. Nitrous was fun.
It all felt great until this numbing med wore off. Ibuprofen and pain meds as needed. I go back in 2 weeks to have the stitches removed.
He also found particles from when my wisdom teeth were removed, and got those out.
He re-shaped whatever gum area he needed to and done.

Our father was enabling him by providing beer and cash. I told him to knock that shit off and just send him groceries. He refused to listen to me. I also recommended professional intervention.
I think our father’s mindset is he gets to see his son again- and will do whatever it takes. Me? No.

Snakes, I know we all have some snake stories. Mine growing up in East Tennessee. The copperheads. You don’t go on a hike without looking on the other side of the log on the trail, before you jump over the log. And black snakes along the trails when it was hot, they would hang from branches in the trees. And water moccasins hanging from trees along river banks when canoeing.

And then there’s the Conan the Barbarian movie with Arnold. Snakes, they’re cool, and also freaky predators.

My wife delivered our first kid just on nitrous. She wanted an epidural but she was scared to get it so she asked for nitrous for when they put the needle in her spine. Then she was enjoying the nitrous so much she decided she didn't need the epidural.

With the twins, she opted for the epidural.

Did someone say "Lighthearted & Fun"?

    I'm back! <lol>

I had some adulting to do.

Going to the lake to prep the house for the kids...Son is having a gaggle of friends up for a D&D birthday soiree thing.

    well...since I have about 4 racoons now...I'm going to set 2 traps.

    what's the over/under I catch 2 of them?

If I catch the otter...I'll take a selfie with it.

I think there is this perception that otters are this small cute harmless mammal, the reality is that they are aggressive, territorial and voracious predators. Be careful if you come across one because if it feels threatened it will bite the snot out of you.

Thanks. I will heed your warning.

    This one is big.

I'm not much of an outdoorsman, but I think he is just expanding his eating territory.
He swims by, going under each dock.

I'm more focused on the 'coons. Too many hanging around for me to be comfortable.

and, as my record stands, I am a very, very unsuccessful racoon hunter.

Caught 3 of the feral cats by scruffing them. Two in a pet carrier go to the vet to be fixed this morning. The third clawed up my hands when trying put it in the carrier.

It's now loose in the house some where.

:rofl:I'm a good shot, and that's the only thing I'd try with 'coons. Way too dangerous when cornered for me to try and catch.

Have fun at the lake. We are also seeing warming trends throughout the weekend. I'll say they are unwelcome but since I'm also a reasonable guy, I'll get my flips out for some pics for the cru. For now I'll also add that yes :worthless:
