I have a Jack that I am lifting the control arm but at some point I start lifting the car. I am gonna try relocating the jack closer to the ball joint and lifting. I could also put on tires and setting it on the ground then going under (thinking out loud).

You "got them from a seller here"? What is the part number, and are you sure it's compatible? Where'd you get the LCA's and what is that part number?

It sounds like you have an incorrect part number at play here, either the LCA or the LBJ. Like it's potentially not correct for your year. But I'm not aware of anyone on here that sells OEM parts, so I'm confused. I know that clown, Joe Joe (or whatever) sells OEM parts on Fakebook, but ...

From what I can tell it looks like incorrect part numbers…. I purchased LBJ’s from Toyota. But my lower controls arms and uppers were purchased from a seller on here. I am lifting the ball joint with a jack and I am able to see the non threaded shaft of the ball joint and my nut is maxed on the threads. So either I have the wrong ball joints OR the control arms I purchased do not work for my year.

I am working on the driver side here is the part number I have:

looking at my messages the controls arms I purchased are off a 2004….would there be a difference in the size of the holes where the ball joint lives?

Upon further review it looks like the controls arms I purchased are not compatible with the ball joints I purchased for a 2001. So I need to start all over….damnit!!!

Yup September of 2003 or so is when the ball joint and control arm hole size changed.

So now I can’t get the ball joint out of the incorrect control arm all Iam doing is squeezing out the grease because the entire shaft of the ball joint spins when I try to remove the nut. I just ordered another one screw it. I really hope someone finds this thread and learns from my mistakes!
