Anyone using Eneos Full Synthetic oil on the Gen 3’s?

if so, what are your thoughts?

I’m creeping on the 5k mark and I’m planning on changing the oil to Eneos this coming week.

Your first two oil changes may be free if you check.

I'll use any brand of engine oil so long as it's thin as water.

No but it will be fine Toyota will service your car free at 5, 10, 15, and 20k. Toyota 0w20 is decent for free they will include free oil and filter 2x. The other 2 the inspection is free but any needed parts and labor beyond a tire rotation is on you. My dealer has the tech text you a short video of their findings like if air or cabin filter are dirty...great way to sell service imho...they did mine at 10k and coming up on 15k I'll do my own and send off a sample to Blackstone for analysis to make sure I'm not driving one of the metal shavings time bombs and everything looks copacetic.

yeah I’m not going through toyota for this one. I’m using RPM Garage instead but will be using Toyota for the 10k one. Great info though.

First off, I wouldn't let a oil tech touch my truck. Been there, done that, never again. To me it wasn't worth a free oil change and tire rotation to have to clean up their mess, remove and actually torque the lug nuts and came to find out they didn't change the oil filter.
As for your oil question, run whatever is on sale. I have never seen an engine fail because of the oil brand used. I have also never seen an engine last longer because of the oil brand used. The majority of people trade the truck in anyways before it hits 100k and all the boutique oil money was a waste anyways.

agreed all around pursuit but not everyone can service their vehicle or want to be bothered with the mess themselves, it also shows record of oil change in case there is ever a warranty issue

I get that, I mean the oil tech at Toyota don't know crap. I would choose a good independent shop that knows what they are doing if you can't do it yourself.

It's a high quality product if you can find it for a reasonable price. Some NAPA stores carry it. I think it runs $38 per 5 quart jug. You might be able to order it from NAPAonline.com and use a coupon code to save some $$.
